REAR STONE GUARDS
The 1982 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am didn’t have much in the way of ground effects, but it did have front and rear stone guard deflectors. The front deflectors were only seen on the pilot presentation car, and removed after Michael Scheffe’s newly designed bumper was installed. These rear stone guards were missed in the stock Fanhome build, and truly complete the look of your model.

From 1982 until mid-1984, the Trans Am trim package featured modest ground effects in the form of front and rear stone guards. While these guards provided minimal protection, they added a stylish touch. In the latter part of 1984, the Trans Am underwent an upgrade with the introduction of wrap-around "aero" ground effects inspired by the 15th Anniversary car. Surprisingly, these older designed parts were never utilized again. Unfortunately, our Fanhome kit initially lacked these guards, but now you can restore the complete look of the Trans Am to its intended design.
Exhibiting his remarkable attention to detail, Christian Witt once again impresses with an exceptionally accurate design. These stone guards, crafted through precision 3D resin printing, arrive with two coats of primer, followed by two coats of black paint. They are meticulously wet-sanded to achieve a smooth finish, and finally, polished using a two-step process with Meguiar's Ultimate Polish and Wax. The stone guards conveniently attach using pre-installed double-sided 3M tape, ensuring a straightforward installation process. I apologize on the price, but these two little parts take an exceptional amount of time to prepare.
Crafted from a specialized UV resin blend incorporating SIRAYA Blu, SIRAYA Smokey Black ABS-Like Resin, and SUNLU ABS-Like Gray, these components showcase a unique composition. The prints are skillfully engineered to possess flexibility, enabling them to endure a fall from a 4-5 foot height without breaking or shattering upon impact with a hard surface.
