Porque é que se chama scanner "Larson"? Este estilo de design foi imaginado por Glen L. Larson nos anos 70 para a Battlestar Galactica para os seus robots Cylon. Ele gostou tanto do efeito que o incorporou no design do K.I.T.T. O nome do scanner "Larson" foi cunhado pela primeira vez pelo site evilmadscientist.com em 2007.

HOW DOES THIS AFTERMARKET SCANNER DIFFER FROM THE OTHERS?
Estas peças são feitas com uma fórmula de resina UV personalizada que consiste em SIRAYA Blu, SIRAYA Smokey Black ABS Like Resin e SUNLU ABS Like Gray. As minhas impressões foram concebidas para poderem ter alguma flexibilidade nas peças mais pequenas e uma resistência semelhante à do ABS nas peças mais grossas, que podem resistir a uma queda de uma altura de 4'-5' pés e não partir ou estilhaçar numa superfície dura. A lente amarela do scanner é feita de resina padrão REPRAPPER e é mais frágil do que as minhas outras peças. Manusear com cuidado.
